it used to be that one would go to war to steal stuff from other lands
these days - the military is funded by high tech industries - who draw out funds from people give it to places like silicon valley and then, money is transferred to arms companies to send armies places to destroy stuff and people
it's a difference
and it's kinda morphing in our lifetimes again - we now send other peoples soldiers and get any foreign governments to send money if they're stupid enough
it's how come one country gets to pay ridiculous sums for old tech subs and the new tech ones are superior and cheaper
