You have missed the point - the Bible, Koran or the Torah are not just books to those that are religious. To desecrate their (choice of ) "bible" is sacriligous not to mention hippocritical.
Personally I am an atheist so it means little to me but I do like Voltaires words :
"If God did not exist then Man would have to invent Him"
