al-Shabab is the biggest issue now

they were the military arm of the UIC but have since gone their own way. This basically means any dialogue between the UIC and the TFG will fall on deaf ears with al-Shabab as they have chosen their path, and if anyone thinks they aren't in Puntland is dreaming - they are spreading all over and the way they operate makes it nigh on impossible to stop them: a favoured strategy is to blend in with everyday somalis and pop soldiers and officials in the back of the head and walk away. This is from an interview I listened to on newsradio between an al-Shabab member and a BBC reporter. imo they'll NEVER get a rig in.........if they ever intended to that is.
