A far as the position chairman goes, this is a farcical position in any company. People make excellent livings out of being chairmans of many companies at the same time. Write a couple of letters a year , look over the books , chair some meetings and print what your told by the rest of the board. And get paid a motsa. Lets face it, we may as well have Kylie Minogue as our Chairwoman. We would get value for money then. But, it's a requirement so we are stuck with having one. But let's get a cheaper one who has some positive input.
We are very lucky to have a shareholder who is determined to see things through for not only his benefit but for all shareholders. Think of all those small companies out there that just walk all over their shareholders and no one does anything about it.
Well the board and management will need to take notice this time as it doesn't look good on your resume being removed from the board or a company by shareholders.
