NOTICE OF DECISION TO GRANT A PERMIT UNDER THE HAZARDOUS WASTE(REGULATION OF EXPORTS AND IMPORTS) ACT 1989Pursuant to Section 33 of the Hazardous Waste (Regulation of Exports and Imports) Act 1989,notice is given that on 13 September 2006 a permit was granted to SteriCorp Limited, Level 8,470 Collins Street, Melbourne, 3000, Australia (telephone +64 9 273 2814, facsimile+64 9 274 1065) to export up to 180,000kg of waste solids containing toxic liquid nototherwise specified (N.O.S) from United Environmental trading as Transpacific TechnicalServices, 16-30 Neals Road, East Tamaki, Auckland, New Zealand (telephone +64 92747963, facsimile +64 9274 1065) to SteriCorp Limited, 110 Doherty Road, Laverton, Victoria,3026, Australia for final disposal.The waste is to be packed in UN approved 200 litre steel drums within 20 foot internationalshipping containers. Sharps are to be contained in Australian/New Zealand Standardcompliant sharp containers before placement in the steel drums. The waste will be transportedby road to be loaded onto a ship at the Port of Wellington or the Port of Auckland, NewZealand, to be off-loaded at the Port of Melbourne Australia, from where the waste will betransported by road to the disposal facility, where it will be disposed of by high temperatureincineration.The import will take place in eighteen (18) shipments between 14 September 2006 and30 June 2007.
