I think they are trying to reduce the number of shareholders down, below the number required to list on the ASX, so they can delist CRE.
Then Stone will be stuffed and they will have to accept the offer, otherwise they will lose it all as FML just transfer everything over to themselves. All the while, they don't have to convert the loan.
Smart IMO.
