I've just noticed something weird with my proxy form. See the highlighted parts in the image below.
I don’t want to appoint the chairman as my proxy, so I’ll leave that first box in section 2 unmarked. Easy.
On to section 3:
I still really don’t want the chairman as my proxy. So now I’ll mark the box in section 3. Apparently I didn't make it clear enough in section 2.
This is where it gets confusing:
The paragraph immediately below says that because I’ve marked the box above, the chairman gets to exercise my proxy anyway!
Am I misinterpreting something or is this proxy form self-contradictory? And by extension - completely invalid?
