Notice of meeting acquisition clause

I've just spent some time going through the Notice of Meeting with a bottle of red and noticed something interesting.

In the special resolution re approval of additional 10% placement capacity, there was a notable paragraph.

"Purpose of issue under 10% Placement Capacity

The Company may issue Equity Securities under the 10% Placement Capacity for various purposes, including to assist the Company in the event of a future capital raising, in raising funds for carrying out its business objectives and in particular, to accelerate commercialisation of the Company’s technology, to pursue business development opportunities, to accelerate product development activities and otherwise for general working capital purposes. In addition, from time to time, as part of its growth strategy, the
Company considers acquiring various companies and businesses. In that context, the availability of the 10% Placement Capacity will give the Company the flexibility to fund the purchase price for an acquisition, or the working capital requirements of the acquired company or business, wholly or partly through the issue of Equity Securities."

I thought it sounded like a basic boilerplate statement. But I decided to check last years NOM and the first part of the paragraph was the same but the second part of the paragraph re acquisitions was missing. So this year they have made this inclusion deliberately.

I think this is telling because it is the first time (that I can remember at least) that EMC have signalled acquisitions. I could be reading too much into it though.
