NOTICE OF TULLOW SHAREHOLDING

Hardman Resources Ltd (Hardman) has received overnight the following communication from
Tullow Oil plc (Tullow) concerning trading in Hardman shares:
“Tullow purchased some Hardman shares yesterday, 4 October 2006, all at or below the offer
price.
We purchased 26,682,827 in London and 412,377 in Australia. We calculate the total of
27,095,204 to be approximately 3.73% of Hardman’s issued share capital.”
Hardman advises that Tullow will not be permitted to vote any Hardman shares held by it in
respect of the proposed scheme of arrangement between Hardman and Tullow at the
shareholders’ meeting expected to occur in December 2006.
