While you can argue all day about which ounces are better, it is easier for a $40M company to double than a $150M company. IMHO hard market at the moment too doesn't help (take PEX for example 69m @ 4% copper, SP fell), will turnaround for gold explorers once POG breaks up through some resistance barriers. Currently POG could go either way, though fundamentals say up.
