"HSBC, JPM and Citi are custodians/nominees, Blackrock is the largest fund manager (resources in particular) around."
From the JPM web site:
"Asset Management provides institutional, high-net-worth and individual investor clients with high quality global investment management in equities, fixed income, real assets, hedge funds, private equity and cash liquidity. By building a reputation for investment excellence and superior service, J.P. Morgan Asset Management has become one of the largest asset managers in the world."
They invest on behalf of their clients, and I think they are a tiny bit larger, older, better known and more highly regarded than Blackrock.
This is not a plug for JPM. The point is that you won't see them as trustees, nominees or anything else on the register of some piss-ant little company. Therefore, when you do see them on the register, it is a good thing.
