I spoke to Geoff today, obviously he and the team run a tight ship, because all i could get out of him, is they still need to do some more work to finalise the announcment, so they decided to a trading halt. The only question i really pushed for was if the announcment would be positive at least. In his eyes he is hoping the market look upon the announcment as positive. Gee he should be a politican.
So what i am guessing is the company must have got some news from well about the testing ( lets say some early oil flow) and so wanted a trading halt so they can spend the weekend and a day testing the oil flow so they maximise the flow before they release to market.
