Austin Exploration Limited (?AKK?) requests an immediate trading halt on its securities till before start
of trading on 5 May 2011 pending the release of an announcement concerning a large placement to
sophisticated investors.

AKK is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted by the ASX. The Company is
in compliance with the Listing Rules of the ASX, and in particular Listing Rule 3.1.
