this has already been announced before including the bit about the option for 2 more wells.
As far as I am aware, this hasn't been formally announced before.
On the 9th of June an announcement indicated that up to 4 more holes would be drilled. This included 2 firm holes and the option for 2 further holes.
Today, this was extended to allow the option of four addition holes. This is a total of 8 holes. This is a potential doubling of the number of holes.
In summary. Two holes are going to be drilled TK1 & P2. An option for a further 2 holes will be decided by August 31, 2009. Four options to drill four more holes will be decided before the contract finishes. The contract is now set at a minimum of 143 days.
My thoughts: They will drill the two firm holes and take it from there. Each hole has approximately 70 days allocated, with a few days of travel time packed in for good measure. If the results from TK1, P1 & P2 are good, they will use their options to drill some more holes.
