Well, ShareItUp, there is of course consequence (or risk) of change but there is also consequence of no change. After over 20 years of blowing shareholders money (probably over $100M) with not even a tiny demonstration plant to show, we all know what the consequence of no change is. Without not small a miracle, APG is most likely to go down the drain anyway, but there is still hope of a miracle. With the current management, there is no hope at all.
I think we are too late in taking action. If APG was still 5c or 10c, there will be a good chance to raise enough capital to restructure the company, attract some good directors and turn the company around. At its terminally ill stage, even I would not want to be a director of APG. Nobody wants to be the captain of a sinking ship.
