The problem is that the blindfolds are still on for the company as well as us. They can't be giving us a hint about how the treatment reduces mortality because they don't know who got the treatment. Honestly, this idea that the company is is going nudge nudge wink wink stuff is a bit silly. Apart from the small matter of the company not having the information to do that, Exactly what advantage would that give the company that would outweigh the fact that execs would be breaking all kinds of rules? There's no hints, no nudges, no inside knowledge. There's only people poring over sentence structure trying to wring definitive information from a throw away sentence in a pretty announcement. Then again, this is the same company that disgracefully decided it should announce that there was a positive Facebook message about a trial so that they could tell people such posts should be ignored. Surely they're not so desperate to go with that approach again.
