As ever great comment and great information. I detest eye drops so if I had glaucoma I would opt for canaloplasty almost first up. There are a lot of side affects and allergies with drops and the elderly do dot drop the drops as they should and many forget to do so with consequences. There does not appear to be reimbursement for canaloplasty under Medicare here so surgeons do not perform it. There is for istents. I would be reluctant to opt for the major trapdoor surgery of trabeculectomy without trying the canaloplasty route. I like your opinion that canaloplasty will eat into the iStent market and also the billions market of eye drops. Perhaps EYE will join PNV which is a $1.5b company and expanding. We are both on a winner with these two as well as doing good things for patients and medical budgets.
