The 1st couple of scenarios are way off.
Why would I set a stop loss as an investor?
Why would I be as reckless as to invest money I don't physically have?
What I want to see is a steady flow of news that doesn't allow the fluctuations and trading range we are stuck in regardless of obvious progress.
In the absence of news the price will drift back and traders lock in profits and yes trigger stop losses.
I then regret not having taken a pissey 20 or 30%.
I want to see the rerate catch out traders and investors rewarded.
