the point is that the trial wasn’t powered to detect anything less than a 43% reduction in mortality. The fact that it passed the first couple of analyses might mean that there was an improvement. Or there might not be.
So all we know is that the difference is somewhere between 0 and 43% (if we accept that the trial would have been stopped due to harm if mortality was increased in the MSC group). Anything more is speculation until (or if) MSB gives us more data.
