Depending on where you work some employers ie government can source cars less stampduty etc making it very attractive to get your car via this method. I had heard changes to this were on the way but not yet in Vic apparently.

just remember that if/when you leave the car goes with you and you are liable for the payments (which is of course why employers like novations.)

Also look closely at taking the insurance option if its available that allows you to hand the car back to the credit company under certain conditions, ie termination.

I had a novated Berlina for quite a while but when I started doing fulltime trading we decided that two Berlina's in the family where more than enough and this iinsurance allowed me a window of time to hand the car back with no further payments and no residual.

Novating also gives you (if you needed one) a good reason to take car of the car better, lol!!
