Yes, they use xRapid now known as On Demand Liquidity and this week they had record daily volume as well as signing up new rail interconnects in Europe.
essentially XRP is a bridge currency between the Senders fiat to xrp then to the recipient and xrp to local fiat.
There are some very large rails between Mexico and the USA as well as the Philippines etc.
often the Ripple partners are centralised crypto exchanges CEXs and FX companies and not only are they making great margin their delighting customers and threatening SWIFT and TradFi banks etc.
NOV are super well-positioned to use ODL and grow their business.
Moreover, whilst the allegedly corrupt SEC has raised a frivolous but problematic case for Ripple.
The SEC case is poor and is really in my opinion just trying to slow the inedible progress 21C rails to move value like email and at a thousandth of a cent too via the XRPL to XRP direct.
The SEC have already been chastised by the Judge on the case and are exposing allegedly dodgy behavior regarding insiders supporting ETH.
Ripple has already said over 200M USD in legal fees. This is what it takes to beat the US government in court. Of note, the SEC is mostly self-funded via their court victories and fines. This is clearly a flawed model that incentivises these Lawyers to go after fat fish to fry.
So, Ripple are going to win the case in my opinion and it will fly if they do and xrp.
There is so much more to their ecosystem and what they've started really is beyond the imagination of most. Their all over CBDCs too and want to move Trillions not Billions. All the money is an old catch cry and if successful they may just do it.
If you want to have a look at the future, a small but important example is the XRPLLabs in The Netherlands and the XUMM wallet which just integrated into the Dutch banking rails as they now have a banking carriers license.
building capability like this on the xrpl is what we like to see and one wonders if NOV ever needed a partner like this it could be an amazing partnership... Maybe at the next Swell conference they may well have or will rub shoulders.
The future is not TradFi, it's hybrid and decentralised open-source rails to move value immutable, cheaply, fast and good for business by unlocking value in Nostro/Vostro accounts moving it all with virtually no emissions.
Bon weekend.
