datamesh are using PAX terminals. terminals need to be verified by an acquiring bank before they can take payments from the device. Datamesh basically have build a system around these devices and the payments to capture data and other stuff. Acquiring banks, once they have verified devices (and in datamesh's example perhaps done some extra work in integrating data flows), can sell the devices. not all banks can offer all devices (paymemt terminals).

NAB were the first to verify and work with datamesh. they banked perigrin (the company in SA using datamesh devices with crypto) as perigrin have a stake in datamesh. i understand CBA are about to link with Datamesh and Fiserv already have. others will follow. that means that datamesh will provide the terminals (and data) to merchants while the acquiriers/ISO/Payment-facilitators will process the volume (and take the margin on that).

whst this deal does is allow Novatti to sell Datamesh's solution and have it in their priduct suit.
