they got in because it was flavour of the day. besides seeking capital appreciation, why woukd you buy crypto. with ISO20022 and visa/mastercard expanding the facilitation of overseas payments through their rails at instant speeds and low cost, the dream that crypto will somehow make it less exoensive and a better option, imo, is flawed. who wants capital tied up in crypto fkr every day payments when it is so volitile
