It sold at 11m above net asset value whilst, it was also reported that 100m of excess capital will now be returned to Challenger. With only 89m in retail lending, 19m in corporate lending and 228m in deposits it clearly was not a priority for Challenger who is basically a fund manager selling life annuities (pensions).
