I was indeed wrong to make assumptions on the reasons behind your dissatisfaction with Australia.
"the Anzacs would be spinning in their graves" Maybe those who are resting in peace would not agree with your choices considering the "White Australia Policy" was still in place in their time. Was the Australia you grew up in liberal enough to have respected your choice of bringing in a Thai girlfriend?
My point here is that I do not think it helps to imply that those times were better when you appear to enjoy some of the progressive changes of modern times, like many of us do.
However it does not subtract from your concerns over manufacturing, censorship and globalism. I too think that wrong decisions were made regarding those matters.
