COVID-19 is now rapidly spreading throughout Australia which has a population that is largely vaccinated. Only vaccinated visitors are allowed into Australia, which means COVID has been brought into the country by those who are vaccinated. Given this, the rationale for discriminating against those who aren’t vaccinated — including keeping out non-vaccinated visitors — seems illogical. Yet, tennis great Novak Djokovic is being deported (after arriving to play in the Australia Open) because he’s not vaccinated.
