What that above CSIRO graph is saying is that other than DICE(an Exergen/CSIRO project) brown coal will be phased out of generation in approx 30 years.
Will other techs really get funding for $billions of dollars to set up plants that will be phased out in the not too distant future?
It makes Exergens case for an allocation of coal and some ALDP funding look stronger than ever to me.
Looks as though, according to the CSIRO, the big burners will be slowly phased out of the valley and DICE generation units will take their place. I am sure all the big generators in the valley will be well aware of this plan, especially any that have the former cheif of the CSIRO's energy division on their advisory board.
Lucky for Mantle, our partner Exergen doesn't need waste heat from a power station or they could be facing becoming redundant before they even get started.
