Yes, I think you're right. I'm not going to check past NR's, but I remember QH saying that he was very happy with the first machine which was borrowed, but having problems with the second which was different. He would have purchased it had they been able to get it to work, but still, knowing how well the first one worked I'm surprised that NVO didn't arrange to acquire that specific model. The mounted metal detector they're using now seems so Mickey Mouse in comparison and QH knows it. I wonder what the reason(s) behind it all is.
Many things are odd in the Pilbara, but wonderment is lost after a bit of times passes and it's recent things that get attention.
