I was thinking this week that that once the 1 million+ mile battery is announced by Tesla or Mercedes or VW Group supplied by CATL, then they will need to ramp up production of these 1 million mile batteries rapidly.

Consumers always hold off from purchasing the discontinued model and wait for the new technology in a new model before buying a car. All of these carmakers will see demand for their existing models, requiring discounts to clear this discontinued stock while pre orders for their EVs with the 1million mile batteries will surge.

We should expect to see significant acceleration in ramping up of the Puregraphite anode factory production and construction to begin of new Puregraphite factories in North America to accommodate this buyer behavior for new cars, that has been around for many years.

Otherwise these carmakers will see a slump in sales pre 1million mile EV production starts!
