Doesn’t explain it exactly but it’s the most likely. The event is high profile big $$ exposure, possibly someone was aware of Novonix being used as an example from the DOE & jumped in early (Friday).
There are other articles & papers recently published not discussed on hc that possibly added to their exposure but nothing to justify this sort of increase.
