"Another group passing the hat around is Austral Coal, which called a trading halt yesterday.

Late last month the Sydney group announced that mining at its Tahmoor longwall was terminated 193m short of its planned length after some roof falls.

The decision meant Austral missed out on 120,000 tonnes of clean coal and tightened cash flow a little, before its Tahmoor North operations start in June.

Hence another capital raising for the group which had already tapped the market twice in the past six months."
