    • have insurance companies cut back further in the amounts paid to hospitals, leaving a growing gap fee?
    • poorer health care in private hospitals with better outcomes in the public system?
    • staff in private tend to stay for their whole career, resulting in poorer management, even medical officers are restricted in their broader medical knowledge necessitating patients to be removed to public system in the event of complications that exceed the specialists specialised knowledge.
    • narrow focus of skills
    • no significant improvement in cleaning, modernity of infrastructure, eg OT equipment, quality of food, adaptability of staff etc etc

    really the only benefit of a private hospital is a single room with a glass of wine with main meals.

    but none of this can be verified as its been a long time since I worked in private system.
