I would like to ask everyone how many wells have they seen in the past with a COS of higher than 50%.
I bet you the answer is not bloody many!!!
MEO just recently drilled a well with Petrobras in the same area as the Gorgon project and right next door to the Wheatstone and Pluto fields and gave it a COS of around 32% and that hole came up a duster. You would have thought drilling around those fields would have been alot higher COS but they kept it at 32 as no company has a fool proof way of knowing where hydrocarbons are until they drill.
Giving Gindara a 40% COS is actually a very good rating and Shell know this hence the reason they have farmed in to it.
Also dont forget Coron-1 is not far away and that came up with over a 100m oil column....something to think about.
