Not too many Crikey articles I agree with but he's right on this. There'd have been $10s of billions spent by private business chasing the quantum computer rainbow, there's still more money been thrown at these sort of ideas by private investors. Why on earth does the govt think it's got a chance of picking the one that's going to make it work? I wonder what the link is to the ALP/Unions in all this, smells bad really
