Hold a similar view. But there can be reward in trading. despite having a shocker for 2008 I still beat the market and in the trading thus far I'm ahead for 2009. Still not making enough to retire but having some fun along the way.
I have my doubts on some of the T/A on this thread particulalrly when we get into wave theory and 'day periods' and even the moon gets a mention from time to time. But that's everyone's call. If it works for them, good luck. Others can question the thinking and be challenged by new ideas.
My core holdings are long but trade the spi as time allows. Sold out of some specky stuff early in 2008 and jumped into the banks a bit early.
Good luck to all irrepective to their methods
