agreed with many of your thoughts sagh. PPT wouldn't be my first choice of institutional support though... their accounts are bleeding, but perhaps that may change if the market can get on a run. I guess it's also comforting from a fundmental perspective that PPT do have the conviction to buy and hold NFK shares, although, generally, they have been net sellers of equities the past couple years.
