some great points but alot of rubbish going on in this thread. basically think of it this way, how long will it take Talbot or someone else to make a play for TRF based on the ROL 7.8 mill shares they will have after 27th Jan? The 7.8 mill would be alot harder to get on market and the suitor would get the bonus of 50% of IFE at the same time. IMO this is the future of TRF, imagine, it gives Talbot 17 plus million shares in ROL, thats a big piece of what could be a very very big pie! His group loves mining stocks, what better way to increase the stake in ROL without over paying and getting a bonus Iron Ore company. Think about it, you know it makes sense.
