I agree the war on drugs is costing Billions in the US and they have lost completely. In Australia I don't know what the cost is but it wont be cheap.
I think its time we legalise all drugs and try that, after all anyone who wants illegal drugs can and is getting it now. There is no guarantee the illegal drugs are full of lethal substance as there is no rules governing the production.
I don't think making it legal will cause a great deal of people to suddenly jump up and run down to the local Drug Store and swallow drugs at all.
You have to put the pertinent rules in place, the same as any drug or alcohol sales and usage.
Folks the war on drugs has been lost the world over. If we legalise them all you will get rid of the criminal element over night. Their profits will plunge, plus the government can tax the hell out of it all like alcohol and fuel.
I personally think a reason drugs haven't been legalised is the big players may hold sway on governments with money.
Just my opinion of course and no proof at all on that.
