theoretically yes because of earnings translation and on an overnight translation the share price is influenced by s-t movements yes impacting overseas investor appetite, but strong Aussie is a function of good commodity outlook so there is no necessary correlation of strong Aussie and weak RIo, and strength of both has been evident throughout this cycle. I can't see that changing much for a while
I remain a long term bull on RIO and topped up yesterday
