    That is entirely incorrect mate.

For starters, Newcrest has narrow, pipe-like, vertically plunging, quartz monzonite porphyry complex comprising up to nine intrusive phases. These intrusive complexes have lateral dimensions in the order of 50 to 150 m and minimum vertical extents of 600 to 900 m.

SOC's Hobbs Pipe 1 is up to 100m wide at the top and estimated to be 120m - 200m wide at the base, with a vertical extent of at least 900m. They are almost identical. At a depth of 900m and width of 120m they have close to 3Mozs in Pipe 1 alone, before exploring for additional width outside the 77 degree angular hole. Calculations are above in the thread.

NCM's 9 instrusives that make the deposit is exactly the same as what SOC believe to have 5+ pipes. Several of them they know exist as they outcrop at surface.

So yes, SOC's pipe 1 will be open cut to 200m then block caved.

As for grade, that is also incorrect. You need to look at the overall reserves/resource not the discovery grades. One hole does not make a deposit, it is what it bulks out to.

SOC's deposit is higher grading than Newcrest's on an Aueq actually and a $/tonne basis.
