The law, government and various companies have been spying on the general public for a while and people became sick of it so started running vpn tunnels, TOR browser and various other encryption technologies to stop the prying.
So now the powers will be increased to get access to everyone's privacy under the guise of chasing the bad guys but where is the crossover between good and bad. Will it get to a point where your GPS data shows you speeding and a ticket arrives in the mail. I understand the need to stop major crime but what controls need to be in place to protect the general public who are decent people. How will these powers be applied to business? To me it's looking like a growing of methods of population control.
