The concern over high SiO2 levels is unwarranted. Magnetite ores typically have very high SiO2 levels, but this is largely removed via beneficiation. Magnetite ores are typically concentrated via a beneficiation process which raises the Fe levels to high 60s low 70s, and it removes a lot of the impurities (namely SiO2 and some P) to more acceptable levels. It is after this beneficiation that it is shipped to be pelletised or pellitised immediately after beneficiation.
