I've now had a closer look at the results and what bothers me is Fig 2 which appears to depict the lack of a trend in the data with time.

Thus, the maximum effect in the high load patients was achieved at day 5 and that is where they achieved statistical significance. After that, things seem to have gone backwards and by day 20, the last sampling day of the trial, we were trending back towards control levels at the day zero bleed and were no longer significant. That's gotta be a worry I hate to say and I'd really like to see some explanatory ideas from Michelle.
