hedge funds take an absolutely ruthless, surgical, utterly removed approach to investing. EVERYTHING is just an equation mediated by quantitative risk and analysis. They couldn't care less about the company. SUPER GEEKS sitting with paper and pen writing down differential equations that hedge risk against the probability of blah blah blah in order to write a piece of software that mechanically crunches the trades and swipes between 1-3% per week.. an absolutely ruthless approach to investing.
