K, if you heard of the firing before 5pm you should have posted then allowing HC posters the chance to ring AVX and ask what is going on.

I don't think I have ever heard of "the results are good - you are all fired".

I have also not heard of such a sudden and unannounced firing.

AVX management certainly have not earned any points from their shareholders.

If it is a takeover it will need to be put to shareholders. If we reject it, AVX has no staff to continue.

If it is all doom and gloom then I am all for returning the remaining money to shareholders. Most however will probably go in redundancy payments.
