..to be fair..wasn't there something introduced in NSW a few years back "Truth in Sentencing" ? ie Life means Life .. 20 years means 20 years ? Whatever happened to that ?
If someone is sentenced to life or 20 years in gaol, it should be a punnishment, not a stay in a 3 star motel, plotting your early release/ parole.
Back to my earlier point .. if gaol really was an effectve solution then life or 20 years of hell v's gone in 30 seconds ?
