If you are selling 6% Li2O spodumene @ $US1250/t, then 1 tonne of Li2O would be 16.666t or cost $US20,832. This much Li2O makes 2.47 tonnes of Li2CO3.

Considering spot prices of Li2CO3 are currently around the $US20,000-25,000/t, then the converter could sell the $US20,832 of spodumene after conversion for somewhere around the $US50,000 area right now.

New contract prices for Li2CO3 are being written for twice the price of last year, according to Joe Lowry earlier this year when he posted around $US12,000/t.

The $US1250/t of 6% Li2O spodumene is certainly not out of the question for contracts the way lithium pricing is going, and will go when all these new gigafactories around the world need chemicals to produce the batteries. How long it lasts is a different question, but they don't seem to be finding new Pilgangoora's every day.

So the odds of prices going high and staying high for a few years are very good. Who knows, the price might go way beyond $US1250/t, the future is very hard to see, but they are not finding mountains of spodumene, which would be crucial to have a lower price, or something like LIT's process might start to become profitable at a high price, and the spodumene mines stay wildly profitable.
