    Greenland's future Alcoa plant could leave a huge carbon footprint

    A new report has indicated that the proposed Alcoa plant in Maniitsoq in south-western Greenland, will double the current carbon dioxide emission levels in Greenland.


    Future development by the aluminium company Alcoa could be a financial burden for the Greenland government, and threaten its inclusion in any future international climate treaties, reports Sermitsiaq.
