I find it interesting that they are now referring to it as 'Ablation mining technology.' Little bit cheeky.

Anyway, so I guess the approach now is to ablate the ore after it gets to the mill and before the actual milling process. There would still be some benefits you would assume in requiring less milling although all of the ore still needs to be transported.

The other thing is that the mass rejected from the ablation machine will now need to be dealt with at the mill rather than back in the hole in came from at the mine site.
