Yes, although oversubscribed by some 50%+, the company absorbed all extras, suggesting less buying pressure for top-ups on listing, but you can rest assured there will be a decent after-market strategy here, especially given the special position this company will find themselves in relation to home soil focus...re India investors and mnedia coverage.

It is a first of its kind that will attract scrutiny for similar scenarios...one of which is GUJ.

At some point, the IPO is bound to see significant rises, which will only help to accentuate the value of GUJ.

Initially I thought they might want GUJ to look successful as a carrot for IPO investors...but given the overwhelming interest, it is obvious this was not an issue for them. At some point however, the attraction of one will move far enough above or below the other that funds are bound to jump from one ship to the other...or indeed, the expected ground swell of interest from back home will likely look at one more favourably than the other in value terms.

I would not be surprised in fact once the IPO has bedded down that the parent turn their focus back on GUJ...and perhaps incorporate a similar entry for home land investors via a raising to help pay for the recent acquisitions?

Just a thought...but one does get the feel for an impending shift in focus for GUJ at some point...and corresponding on-screen activity.

The volumes towards the end of last week were non-existent, suggesting any such turn may well be near.
